It's almost the end of the year yet our annual planned out-of-town bonding hasn't been realized yet. Running out of time and available schedule, a friend suggested to go surfing in La Union for a year-end adrenaline rush. It is my first time to experience it though, and despite not being able to swim properly, I did try to surf the waves and enjoy the activity just like everyone else on the beach.

A side trip to San Fernando, La Union to try the famous Halo-Halo de Iloko was decided the last minute. Surely we enjoyed the refreshing halo-halo dessert, coupled with their deliciously filled empanada.

You got to appreciate the local restaurant, with its unique, well-decorated store interior that gives an oriental-mixed-native vibe.

Afterwards, we walked off around the community before hopping in on a bus going back to Manila.
