With my never-ending problem with the pimples on the face, I grow tired of finding treatments for my face already. I always have the issue on my face where one pimple would be about to heal, but then there's another popping on some other part of my face! It's frustrating and really affects my self-esteem, particularly facing and talking to people.

When I went to the mall sometime at the end of September, just wandering around looking for a luggage and laptop bag, a skin specialist approached me and asked me what do I use to wash my face. At the time I was using a carrot soap, as suggested by an officemate since it worked for her making her face smooth and pimple free. That's where she built up the conversation to introduce me to the product they are offering--the Origani Erda Manuka Honey Peel.
While the skin specialist informed me of the basics about the product, I did my own research after getting it.
The Brand

Origani is a skin and beauty care company that is headquartered in Victoria, Australia. The company has products such as anti-aging solutions, makeup collection, skin hydration and facial care, spa treatment package, and solutions for the oily and acne-prone skin.

Manuka Honey
Manuka Honey is endemic in New Zealand, produced by bees that pollinate the native manuka bush. When you search about Manuka Honey on the Internet, the results will show you generally positive articles, listing the benefits,  healing abilities, uses and online shopping sites offering products made from the manuka honey.

Topically, manuka honey is said to cure skin infections, bites, and cuts. When consumed, the manuka honey serves as an antibiotic and antibacterial treatment that can also help lower cholesterol, reduce inflammation, smoothen the throat and improve gastrointestinal health.

Here's what you'll find inside the box:

Ingredients:

Aqua (Water)
Carbomer (that gives that watery gel texture of the honey peel gel)
Cetrimonium Chloride (the chemical that makes the face feel smoother after the use of manuka honey peel)
Leptospermum Scoparium Mel (Manuka Honey)
Mel Extract (Honey Extract)
Nelumbo Nucifera (Lotus Flower) Extract
Fucus Vesiculosis (Bladderwrack) Extract
Aloe Barbadensis (Aloe Vera) Leaf Juice
Glycerin (a compound common in skin care products and skin treatments)
Phenoxyethanol (acts as a preservative)
Fragrance

I started to use the Manuka Honey Peel on September 27th. As per the advice of the skin specialist, Jelly, I can use the product every day in the first week of using it. Afterwards, I can use it once a week. And so I did, and I want to show you the first two weeks result.

I have yet to finish the contents of the entire small jar, and I am aiming for a 100% no-pimple, no-pimple marks results, so while I am happy that it did remove my existing pimples I am still hoping it does make my face smooth and prevent pimples.

My personal review (so far):
  • During the first few use, I felt my face soften, "smoothen" (while I still have that bumps) and non-oily.
  • Over time, my face felt soft but dry and rough (probably some of the dead skin cells yet to be removed?). I am naturally oily/sweaty, so I don't use moisturizers and other stuff on my face.
  • After using it for seven days, my fresh pimples dried up, and are now just dark pimple marks (I also use Bio-Oil to treat this).
  • I noticed that after using the Manuka Honey Peel, I rarely get new pimples by morning (which really made me have an eye-popping, wide-smiling reaction. I am effin' surprised!)
  • If you have a naturally oily face, expect that the oiliness will return, but not as worse than you used to have it.
Pros
  • It healed my existing pimples.
  • It lessened my face's oiliness.
  • I have not had big pimples since (there were pore-sized ones, but not really cause for alarm).

Cons
  • The skin specialist said one jar will last for a whole year of use. I don't think so. While I only apply the honey peel super thinly on my face, this product will still not last for a year even if I use it just once a week.
  • This product is too costly. You have to risk a huge amount of money to get this. I am still thinking if I'd get this again if its result goes positive on my skin after I empty the jar.
  • The substance gets too diluted when mixed with water. When using it, make sure your face is dry when you apply it.
  • The oiliness of my face returned, but not as bad as how it was prior to using the product.
There you go, I hope I shared something informative and beneficial to you guys. 💗💗💗💗💗💗💗

EDIT:
11/01 Breakout during the menstruation week is inevitable. Pimples are all over my face again.
