Without making it in the local news or being invited to any government-initiated ceremonies, Jack Ma has visited the country to attend a university program as per the invitation of the university student leader.

The Alibaba CEO's name trended on Twitter as the news of his appearance at De La Salle University-Manila was shared by the students. The Chinese billionaire was invited as he was about to be conferred a Doctorate Degree in Technopreneurship Honoris Causa by the De La Salle University-Manila.

His short visit in the country has left words of wisdom that I think all of us can fathom and apply to ourselves.

Here are some:

I believe that it's not technology that change the world. It's the dreams behind the technology that change the world.
We have to solve the problems by the dreams we believe, by the technology we have.
We have problems today but there's always solutions.
